Privacy policy
Effective October 6, 2026
The Chess Puzzles is provided by TheSpiderDev. This policy covers the iOS and Android game and this website. Contact om.spider.dev@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests.
Game data on your device
The game stores puzzle progress, achievements, settings, daily results and replays, saved Sprint sessions, coin balance, reward claims, and purchase delivery records on your device. The current game has no account system, developer analytics service, or developer-managed cloud sync. Device backups may include app data according to your operating system's settings.
Internet connection checks
An internet connection is required to play, including after purchasing Remove Ads. The app observes connection availability without reading Wi-Fi network names or requesting location access. It sends periodic HTTPS reachability requests to Google's connectivity-check endpoint to confirm internet access. These requests contain no gameplay, coin balance, replay, purchase, or account data; Google receives ordinary network information such as your IP address. Failed checks pause gameplay until reconnection. A connection check is separate from an ad impression and does not guarantee that an ad is available.
Advertising
The game integrates Google AdMob. This development version uses Google's test ads. The Mobile Ads SDK may process IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP, device or advertising identifiers, ad views and interactions, performance information, and diagnostic data to provide advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention. Processing depends on your consent, device settings, and Google's services.
The app uses Google's consent flow where required and provides “Ad privacy choices” in Settings when Google makes them available. You can also manage advertising permissions in your device settings. Purchasing Remove Ads removes banners and between-puzzle interstitials; optional rewarded videos remain available when you choose to watch them.
See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps.
Purchases and coins
Apple or Google processes store payments. We do not receive your full payment-card details. When purchases are configured, store receipts or purchase tokens and product and transaction identifiers are sent to IAPKit for validation. The device keeps transaction identifiers to prevent duplicate delivery and to restore eligible purchases. Purchases are currently unavailable until the store products and verification service are configured. Consult the relevant store's privacy policy and IAPKit service documentation.
Daily links and result images
Sharing is optional and opens your device's share sheet. The invitation contains the puzzle date, moves, time, accuracy-related mistakes, and hint count, so recipients can play the same puzzle and compare results. It does not contain your name, email address, advertising ID, or purchase information. Anyone who receives or is forwarded the link can read its replay data. Shared links are not private or authenticated competition records.
The app generates result images in its local cache. A daily reward claim is stored locally after a successful share handoff. We do not receive your contacts, message recipients, or the contents of messages you write in another app. A service you choose to share through applies its own privacy practices.
This website
This static website does not use advertising, analytics scripts, tracking cookies, or contact forms. Our hosting provider processes network requests, including IP addresses, browser request headers, requested URLs, and operational logs, to deliver and secure the site. If you open a replay link in a browser, its replay query may appear in browser history and hosting request logs. We do not maintain an additional replay database.
Support and retention
If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you include, and use it to respond and address the request. Please avoid sending payment-card details or other sensitive information. We retain support correspondence while needed to resolve the issue and meet applicable obligations.
Local game data remains until reset, removal of app data, or uninstall. “Reset puzzle progress” clears game progress but retains the wallet and purchase delivery records. Uninstalling may remove locally stored coins and progress; restore purchases recovers eligible non-consumable ownership, not spent consumable balances. System backups and store transaction records follow the relevant provider's retention rules.
Your choices and requests
You can disable sounds and haptics, reset game progress, decide whether to share a replay or watch a rewarded video, and manage advertising choices. Email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of support information we hold, or to raise a privacy concern. Rights available to you depend on your location. We cannot remotely retrieve or erase game data that exists only on your device.
Children and updates
The current app is not designed specifically for children and does not collect birth dates. Parents or guardians with concerns should contact us. Age ratings and advertising settings will be reviewed before store release. We will update this policy when our practices change and revise its effective date.
